Couples Golfing

How did we arrive at this point and topic? I suppose that we have reached an age where we consider aspects of our life a little differently;  this one just ‘evolved’.  The kids are grown and gone and to date, we have no grandkids to keep us busy. The new home we built in N. Texas sits on a golf couse and makes availability a non issue.  Most important though, is that we now both enjoy the game and what used to be a lot of time apart,  has now developed into quality time spent together. Karen had played a few times earlier in life but essentially just took the game up in earnest about 2 years ago. I’ve been playing for years but not with a lot of consistency, both in repetition and in my game! Not only has the game allowed us to learn more about ourselves (and this after 36 years of marriage), but it allows us time in our community with others of similar interest, which broadens our set of friends.  We hope that we can bring you some interesting information and if there is a product or service that appeals to you once your here, even better. This is not going to keep us off the links for long periods of time but more to give us an alternative on those days when you just don’t want to go chase the little white thing, even if you were a couple!

We are a couple of Baby Boomers that have found another ‘connection’ at a new stage in our life. The kids are grown and gone, travel demands led us back to the midwest from California and we built on a golf course. The connection happened when what was an old friend to one, became more of an opportunity and the other found the game much more interesting than before!
